Invitation to the XXII International Festival DetectiveFEST


Honorable cinematographers,

You are invited to participate in the XXII International Festival of Detective Films and Television programs on Law-Enforcement Themes "DetectiveFEST", which is held in Moscow, April 20rd-25th, 2020.

The festival contest considers feature films (full-length and short films), documentary films and TV series, animation films, thematic TV programmes and TV spots, produced by film and TV companies during the period from February, 1st, 2019 to January, 31st, 2020 within the following nominations:

I. Genre nominations (feature and animation films):

1. Feature (full-length) film on detective, law-enforcement, military and anti-terrorist themes.
2. Feature (short) film on detective, law-enforcement, military and anti-terrorist themes.
3. Animation films on detective, law-enforcement, military and anti-terrorist themes.
4. TV series on detective, law-enforcement, military and anti-terrorist themes.
5. Actor award “Hero” for a charismatic performance of a positive hero (film/series).
6. Actor award “Anti-hero” for a charismatic performance of a negative hero (film/series)

II. Thematic nominations (documentary films, and TV series, TV spots):

1. “Terrorism is a threat to peace” - Documentary films/ TV series/ TV spots devoted to the fight against extremism, xenophobia and racial and religious hatred.
2. “Blood money” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to the fight against corruption.
3. “Crime and punishment” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to the fight against different types of offences.
4. “World without drugs” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to the fight against drug trafficking.
5. “Civil society” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to the fight for civil rights.
6. “War and Peace” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to military service and military duty.
7. “Road safety” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to traffic offences and their prevention.
8. “Environmental offences” - Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to Documentary films/ TV programs/ TV spots devoted to the fight against environmental offences.

The film contest registration lasts only until January 31st, 2020.

Nominees to be announced on the Festival website on March, 1st,2020.

To participate in the contest it is necessary to fulfill the application posted on the website www.detectivefest.ru and to send it with your film production loaded on a flash drive to the Directorate address (Application sending via email is also acceptable).

Rules of the film festival

Festival goals:
  • expanding cooperation between Nations in the field of film and television;
  • support for authors who create films and programs that consolidate society i
  • the fight against crime and terrorism;
popularization of the detective genre.
FESTIVAL PROGRAM
